Enterprise Standards Support (SE-5)
Security Requirements: US Citizen and Current Top Secret SCI Clearance w/Full-Scope Polygraph
Member of the Enterprise Standards Support Team (SST) responsible for providing subject matter expertise, research, and recommendations relating to candidate standards that would influence and be applied in the DoD/NSA domain in the area of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. This position requires organizing and managing meetings, and interacting with other subject matter experts in the DoD community to address standards-related IT issues and impacts, including architecture, interoperability, implementation, and testing. Candidate will weigh the impacts and issues relating to recommending the end-of-life for various legacy standards and the adoption of new standards, and review and author documentation to support these efforts including Standards Selection Justification documents and DoD Information Technology Standards Registry (DISR) Change Requests (CRs) as well as participating in DISR Technical Working Groups (TWGs). Candidate will identify standardization needs within the NSA/CSS Enterprise and communicate opportunities to apply candidate standards. The candidate will provide collaboration with other internal team members and contribute to the production of required contract deliverables.
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Qualified Engineering field (Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management) or a related discipline (Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, and Physics) from an accredited college plus twenty (15) years of systems engineering experience including experience in a technical leadership role in leading projects and programs for Government or Industry customers. A Master’s Degree in the Qualified Engineering Fields or related disciplines identified above may be substituted for two years of experience. Individuals in this position should have at least seven (7) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs that encompass standards, requirements analysis, integration, and process execution and evaluation. Intelligence Community experience is required. Applicant selected must have TS/SCI Poly. Applicant must be familiar with standards and their use and have a working knowledge of the DoD Information Technology Standards Registry (DISR) and the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF). Applicant must have proven technical leadership experience.
Individual Capabilities Desired:
Senior positions are expected to be experts in their own fields, and knowledgeable about other related areas. For this position, IT experience in software, data centers, and security is desired. Senior staff should be able to work with top-level government management and to work as a team member. Senior staff is expected to assist in policy formulation and decisions. Strong writing and communications skills are desired. Intelligence Community experience is also desired.
